City of Ottawa Tree Reports
Dendron Forestry Services is familiar with the City of Ottawa requirements. We specialize in providing advice on how to incorporate tree protection during planning and can prepare the following reports. We can also take care of submitting the reports to the City of Ottawa and following through with site visits with City staff.
Tree Information Reports
As of January 2021, new rules require that applicants for building permits and Committee of Adjustment applications within the greenbelt area of Ottawa include Tree Information Reports as part of their application. More information on this requirement can be found at the City’s website: https://ottawa.ca/en/living-ottawa/laws-licences-and-permits/laws/law-z/tree-protection-law-no-2020-340#schedule-c-tree-information-report-guidelines
Tree Conservation Reports
Applications for a Site Plan Control, Subdivision, or Condominium proposal must include Tree Conservation Reports. More information on these can be found here:
In addition to the above, Dendron can also provide advice for construction projects that may impact trees as well as prepare management plans that may be required for the development of parks
